My ex (who I have a child with but personally have sole custody and no visitation for him) made multiple counts of terroristic threats over the phone-- which I recorded (already reviewed by a lawyer and the police) 2 years ago. The threats have been filed but the cops did not want to pursue a warrant for his arrest yet because he is out of state. The police advised me to hold off until he actually comes here then I he could be picked up. I don't doubt the death threats and my lawyer says that we definitely can get him on the terroristic threats but I am at a loss as to what to do since recently he came to Georgia (despite violating his parole) looking for me, however fled across state lines before being picked up. HELP: i need advice about my job, finances and more?

I know my story probably isn't as bad as many of the stories out there, but heres my problem. We have enough to last us over a year easily. What should we do? We are truly miserable where we are and its going nowhere. If your local police department is anything like mine, there is really nothing you can do. Police in today's world expect every human being to have a video camera on them, charged, and ready to record 24/7 in case someone assaults, rapes, or robs from them. My sister was rapped a few years ago and the police said there was nothing that they could do because the attacker denied it and said it was consensual. It was his word against hers and instead of bothering to take the time to investigate the police told her to start carrying around a video camera in case something like that happened again. Police are not like they are on TV, they do not investigate anything and expect you to hand them everything on a silver platter before they will get off their *** to do anything.

The settlers came onto the island they were on and there was some trading that happened between both groups. The settlers eventually started to kill the Native Americans so they fled the island. Will hair removal cream make my hair grow back thicker?

No nair does not make it grow back quicker but if you have sensitive skin you'll most likely get irritated because i have the farthest thing from sensitive skin and i still got little bumps but with a little soothing cream it went away within 30 min, but the reason for the irritation is that what its doing is its sorta burning the hair from the root, but that's also the reason that the hair doesn't grow back any thicker. In the ones that I've used nair has worked the best, it smells the worst (compared to veet ect.) But its the most effective for hair removal

I was in an accident caused by a police chase. There was a robbery early in the morning but there were no suspects. Later that night police were on duty of the case of the robbery. The driver that hit me passed a few stop signs which police saw. The driver refused to stop after the police signaled him to stop. The police chasing the fleeing car, turned his sirens and lights off after realizing he couldn't "catch" up. Then the driver fled off in high speed running a red light which caused him to t bone my car on the passenger side. It caused my car to spin and hit a pole. I suffered both ankle fractures and multiple pelvic fractures. I had 3 surgeries on my left ankle and one surgery on the right ankle. No surgery was needed for the pelvis. I might need a fourth surgery on the left ankle depending on how the recovery goes. The driver that failed to stop suffered facial fractures. The passenger was ejected from the car causing vertebrae fractures and facial fractures. There was also a third car involved that was hit by the fleeing driver, the driver had minor injuries no broken bones, just scratches and bruises. My injuries have life long consequences, including arthritis and further surgery in the future. If the police was chasing a suspect, why would they turn off the lights and sirens. Music recommendations?

i'm not into any of that in the least any more but i love trying to help people find new music. after i moved on from that stuff, i think i started listening to stuff like circa survive, fall of troy, fear before the march of flames, and stuff like that. bands like a7x and mbv are what i would call metal-pop, and that stuff is a little more like post hardcore. don't worry the hardcore in that genre name isn't very descriptive of the actual genres sound.

How can I deal with the sudden loss of my dog?

I've had my dog for 14 years, and even recently she was in great health for her age. Yesterday my sister came over to pick up some food for her apartment or something, said a few words to me, and then left. I heard her screaming outside, and when I went to see what was wrong she told me my dog, Peaches, was dead. She was screaming and crying and I told her she had to take her to vet. She wouldn't let me see her, but she told me that when she was backing out she ran over her. I just held out hope that maybe she'd be okay, but soon after she left my dad called and said she was killed instantly. I'm still in shock over the whole thing, and it's especially hard because I have an extremely strained relationship with my sister. My sister is a horribly reckless driver, but I know she didn't do this on purpose. I just feel so guilty because I feel like if I hadn't been so angry at my sister I may have walked outside and Peaches would have been okay. I keep thinking about how I hadn't given her that much attention lately. She literally was the sweetest dog I've ever known. She followed me around like a shadow ever since I got her in kindergarten. I just wish I could have had a second to tell her goodbye and let her know how loved she was. My dad also keeps telling me this is the perfect opportunity to reach out to my sister, but I really don't want to at all. I don't know what to do. I just miss my dog, and I'd do anything to have just one more day with her.

How is my rough draft of my story?

First off, I really like the title of it! If this were on a book shelf, I would gravitate to it just because the title is eye-catching. Enough about the title though, there's some tweaking that needs to be done. When there is conversation going on, you don't need to reiterate who is speaking after each line. By the first few lines, the reader should be able to catch on to who's speaking and that no new character has been added to the mix. Actually, there's not much else that needs to be fixed. Weird stuff going on on my skin?

I'm 17 and I don't go out tanning or anything. Just recently I've noticed on my chest and above my belly, there are a few patches of discoloration on my skin. Well, I like this guy and we are like best friends but I don't know what I should do now. I used to be just another girl in his class until valentines day. On that day, he asked out a girl he liked and she said yesbut later that day my friend told him about how I have liked him since the first day of school this school year. The next day at break, he asked me to the school valentines day dance we were having that Friday.I said yes, of course. When I asked him if it was okay with his girlfriend, he said that she told him it was fine. The next day was Thursday and at our school, me and my friends have random hug day every Thursday. After school he kindly asked if I wanted a hug and happily I gave him a hug. Then the dance came. We saw each other a couple times during the dance and then we slow danced to Perfect by Hedley. After we had got our other friend, we headed back to near where we had seen him and he was there again. This time he stayed with us and hung out until the end of the day. we have been trying to get pregnant for the past 2 months already a year ago i had a miscarriage i was 14 weeks but it took like 10 weeks for me to stop having a period and for a tets to come out positive ..... well now we are trying again i been having my period SOOO irregular it has been going from 33 days to 38 to 32 to 27 to 31 now these past two months i had my period and then 10 days later i had another period like i got it on March 21st to march 25th then April 26throughApril29 then May 10th through May 12 then June 9th through June 12 and now today June 30th i am having a reeeeally light period like peach color and when i pee some kind of skin color stuff comes out it it looks like of when i would pee after i ha the miscarriage last year but this past month i been having like kind of cramping i dont know how to explain the feeling and so bloated nausated and alot of heart burn i took like 4 home pregnancy test and they are all negative so i went to get a blood pregnancy test and negative :'( i dont know what is wrong with me or what can it be someone please help me i am starting to think i am not going to be able to have kids my mom herself had like 4 miscarriages after having me until she was able to have my little brother such a miracle can it be hereditary? can someone please help me give me some advice of yours i am starting to get so depressed :( :(

You may have rodents in your room but you won't find out if you can't see them, so clean your room. Start by making a lot of noise, moving the stuff that laying around so you scare it away. Remember they are most likely as afraid of you as you are of them. Next move what is closest to you and place it into a box/cloth hamper etc. You can use a long stick if it makes you feel better. Continue until you have everything picked up. Then start up high and clean/straighten everything on shelves etc. Wear rubber gloves and use cleaning rags that can be tossed. While your are doing that put what you picked up in the laundry go it can be washed. Do the drawers one at a time. If you do encounter one it will trying to get away so just exit the room. Give it a few minutes to get out then go back and continue. As you move things look for small black droppings. They will be about this long xxx with each end tapered. That is mice dung. If they are this long XXXXX and tapered then that is rat dung. You can set traps or your parents can have the house exterminated to get rid of them.

I don't think you're overreacting. You've got a lot of reasons to be angry and feel let down by her, i'd be extremely disappointed too. But i do believe there will probably come a time where she realises how unfairly she treated you and may apologise, this will come when she is ready and truly feels remorse. It should be the same for you, even though it's part of therapy, you will forgive when you're ready and truly accept her apology (or even with no apology.) Those who showed shock that such things do not happen there are probably amongst the many who turn a blind eye to bullying, unruly youthful behaviour and the like. They are encouraging this in school yards and work places and they call it multiculturalism. My family and many others have fled BC and Greater Vancouver because it has become a nasty place to live and it is not isolated to one ethnic group, but is rampant across the board. Not only has the Vancouver nasty nature been revealled now, but the lack of security and defence of average good people was clear. The police were not prepared. All the signs of trouble were there years ago, long before the previous riots. Greater Vancouver has shamed Canada in front of the world, so now the world knows the truth. Riots and demonstrations there are not uncommon. If this type of aggression and nasty bully attitudes are allowed to continue to rot in Greater Vancouver, it will spread and this is a risk to Canadian security. It is obvious that Greater Vancouver is not able to control its young people or defend the innocent. My son could have been killed and he feared for his life! He tried to stop what was going on around him and there was nothing the poor police presence could have done. Next time, hold major events somewhere else because hockey is not the problem, events are not the issue, winning or losing are not the issue. The issue is that Greater Vancouver is totally out of control in society and the powers that be there are not capable of controlling it as they encourage bad behaviour in regular life.

Well not carrots. It takes about 5 carrots to get to 150 calories so with the hummus you will get to 170 but with other veggies, like cucumbers and celery, you will need to eat more.

Staffy not well going on 3 weeks now?

we have been trying to get pregnant for the past 2 months already a year ago i had a miscarriage i was 14 weeks but it took like 10 weeks for me to stop having a period and for a tets to come out positive ..... well now we are trying again i been having my period SOOO irregular it has been going from 33 days to 38 to 32 to 27 to 31 now these past two months i had my period and then 10 days later i had another period like i got it on March 21st to march 25th then April 26throughApril29 then May 10th through May 12 then June 9th through June 12 and now today June 30th i am having a reeeeally light period like peach color and when i pee some kind of skin color stuff comes out it it looks like of when i would pee after i ha the miscarriage last year but this past month i been having like kind of cramping i dont know how to explain the feeling and so bloated nausated and alot of heart burn i took like 4 home pregnancy test and they are all negative so i went to get a blood pregnancy test and negative :'( i dont know what is wrong with me or what can it be someone please help me i am starting to think i am not going to be able to have kids my mom herself had like 4 miscarriages after having me until she was able to have my little brother such a miracle can it be hereditary? can someone please help me give me some advice of yours i am starting to get so depressed :( :(

Can you name this short fiction novel about a home invasion?

I am hoping someone can tell me the title of a book matching this description: I read this short novel in 2010 and I believe it was a fairly recent release. It revolved around a family in the aftermath of a home invasion; if my memory serves me, the person who broke into their home was a drug addict. The women fled upstairs, I believe the brother possibly to the basement (and he was ashamed of this), and the father tried to ward the invader off but suffered some kind of heart attack, I think. The family consisted of, at minimum, a brother and sister, husband and wife. The plot revealed the nature of the home invasion in bits and pieces, but focused on what they experienced psychologically and as a family after the fact. One prominent sub-plot was the sister's romantic involvement with a college boy, and the story arc creshendoed when she had a panic attack in his car and he left her on the side of a highway. I have scoured sites with key words like "home invasion" and found diddly, so I'm hoping someone else out there read and enjoyed it, and can help me out.

In my dream I was a male (I'm a female) and apparently I was at the beach with my family when I suddenly felt really depressed and went to take a walk around the beach. I came across a playground and saw a teenage girl (I used to have problems with when I was in sixth grade). I saw her, and I felt this love for her like a boy would with a girl. She had this really sad expression on her face, and what was weird was that I could read her thoughts. In her mind she kept on repeating, "my dad isn't here again!" I just stared at her sadly and left to see my grandma, and I told her about the girl. In my dream it seemed that I had dated her in the past and she had hurt me so my grandma said, "are you going to let her do this to you again!" I just turned around and said, "Yes because I love her." I then continued walking and saw signs in the ocean water that there was going to be a tsunami. I quickly ran towards the direction of the playground and saw her there sitting in a swing with her sad expression. I called out her name and she turned around and looked at me crying. All of a sudden I felt this love for her and went and gave her a huge hug and carried her bridal style away from the beach into the city. In my dream she is a theater performer so her manager came running towards us screaming that she needed to go back to rehearsals. I just looked at him angrily and said, "I'm taking her with me! There is going to be a tsunami!" He just laughed and then he took her and fled towards the theater. I followed him and grabbed her and sat down with the manager and put the girl on my lap. "I want to take her with me" I said to him. He then said, "Can I have some gum?" I then took out a pack of gun from my pocket and gave it to him. He then counted how much gum I had and said, "You have 12 pieces of gum so that means you have 12 days that I will not bother you, but when those 12 days are over I will come and look for both of you and take her away." I just looked at him hesitantly and agreed. I then carried her bridal style in my arms and left. By then the tsunami struck. I woke up really scared because of the huge wave that was coming towards us in the dream. I really don't know what this means, but I'm mostly confused that I was male, and I loved this girl so much when in real life we had problems. This is all too weird, any idea what this means?
